Harness Extension, NC30 Meter, Honda VFR750R RC36-2
Wire harness extension for use with our TYGA RC30 Style bodywork kit.
To attach the wire harness extension to the original RC36-2 harness, please follow the instructions.
This harness is for use with the NC30 meter, and allows full functionality of the NC30 meter.
Note that the NC30 meter requires a mechanical speedometer cable.
The NC30 speedometer will not work with the original RC36-2 electronic speedometer pickup.
For fitting instructions for TYWH-0005, TYWH-0006 and TYWH-0008 please refer to the wire harness and extension harness routing instructions and follow the following steps:
1, 2, 3, 4, 13, 14 & 15.
An important point to add is that the NC30 tachometer is not plug and play compatible with the RC36-2. Specifically, the RC36-2 tachometer signal from the ECU is different to the signal required by the NC30 tachometer, but we have designed a pulse converter PCB hidden within the extension harness that converts the RC36-2 signal and allows the NC30 tachometer to function seamlessly. The NC30 tachometer will not function accurately without the special TYGA harness.
